First things first – let’s spill some beans!
Tell us a bit about yourself 🙂

Giorgi: Hello, I’m Giorgi Vachnadze, 28 years old. I work as a Release Manager and I joined the Singular team in December 2021.

Salome: Hello, I’m Salome Tsiklauri, 23 years old. I work as a QA Automation Engineer and I joined the Singular team in November 2021.

Shorena: Hi, I’m Shorena Labadze joined Singular as a Product Manager, my current role is to manage the product team, product vision and strategy.

We’re also curious to know what made you choose your profession?

Giorgi: If you look at my CV, you will notice that it’s a bit weird. I have a bachelor’s degree in International Relations and a Master’s degree in English Language and Literature.

But my career path ended up going in a completely different direction. I’ve always been passionate about software and various technologies and have been picking up relevant skills wherever possible.

Working as a Release Manager at Singular is an amazing opportunity for me to develop further in this field.

Salome: I think, software testing is an interesting job because it throws challenges at you every day. It is about looking at a product from different angles, with different perspectives, and testing it with different expectations, like doing a puzzle.

QAs are responsible for improving the quality of the development process and therefore they should have some skills borrowed from other team members like developers, business analysts, PMs and others. As you need to know the product from the inside deeply, you also need the ability to look at the product from the perspective of the end-user.

An interesting, varied affair job that does not allow you to relax.

“Never the same day twice, never boring.”

Shorena: Frankly speaking, I wanted to be successful, even from early childhood😊 as said, “The future depends on what you do today”. Having that in mind I always tried my best. Later on, I landed up in the management in Information Technology profession and then I realized that it is the one that can give me instant growth and success in no time.

So, how did your journey with Singular begin?

Giorgi:  I stumbled upon the job listing, and having previously heard a lot of good things about Singular, I decided to send my CV. I ended up being selected after a test and a few interviews.

Salome: I found a Job listing from Singular’s website. I’ve heard many good things about the company, also personally wanted some changes so I decided to apply.

Shorena: I believe that the amount of work you put in is the amount of praise and reward that you get back. From the very first day of joining Singular, there were days when things were great, and there were the ones – that were very challenging, especially in times of working remote.

But I can say that I made the right choice – for me, Singular is a company, where the opportunities for advancement are endless!

What do you like the most about working at Singular?

Giorgi:  The people! There is an amazing level of professionalism and positivity all across the company, which makes it a pleasure to work in such an environment.

Salome: Having a forward-thinking, supportive company that realizes employees are their greatest asset.  The atmosphere is outstanding, even though we are all working on different projects, it still feels like we are one big team.

Shorena: The very first thing that comes to my mind is – my team!

Besides, Singular is a workplace for me, that values and actively seeks your inputs and suggestions, makes you feel respected as an employee and recognizes employees’ achievements, creates a sense of belonging and fosters employee participation.

What’s your experience like being the new team member while working from home?

Giorgi: I haven’t had a lot of experience with remote work previously, so this was new to me when I was starting. However, my team members made it very easy for me to integrate into the team.

Salome: I thought it would be difficult, but the friendly atmosphere and daily meetings, simplified the process. We also have friendly active communication with each other, so depending on that, the adapting process was too easy and fast.

Shorena: Working from home was one of the challenges I thought I would have faced while changing the workplace. From that perspective, Singular did make my experience just great!

Being at Singular means that it doesn’t bore you to death and allows some room for professional growth as well as even working remote mode.

What’s your go-to productivity hack that helps you stay top-notch?

Giorgi:  I feel like a lot of people struggle with finding the balance between “work” and “home” in the conditions of remote work. I found that creating an environment with minimal distractions at home can be a huge help in staying focused and motivated during the day.

Salome: Swimming in the morning and then strong coffee.

Shorena: I would underline three go-to productivity hacks, which are most important for me from a managerial role perspective:

  • Create shared goals within teams, in line with company Strategy
  • Track tasks but let employees crack on
  • Know when to say “No”.

Overall, describe how you feel working at Singular by using just one word

Giorgi:  Inspirational.

Salome: Exhilarated

Shorena: Motivating

And last, but not least. We know what you’re doing during the day, but what’s your superpower by night? Any hobbies you want to share with us?

Giorgi: I love fantasy and science fiction, be it in books, films, or video games. Most of my free time is spent with my family and friends.

Salome: A little bit everything, but mostly hang out with friends and spend time with my dog.

Shorena: I usually spend my leisure time reading books, listening to music, cooking from time to time and most importantly, spending time with my beloved ones – with my family and pet named after Busi 😊

We wish everyone the best of luck on their Singular journey, and we know that their achievements will be nothing short of outstanding.
