Meet Giorgi, Shako and Teo, Our Newbies from Singular Tbilisi
In the past couple of months, our team grew significantly across all Singular offices. It was a challenge to choose just three teammates for our latest Meet the Newbies article when there are so many that we want to include as well! This time, our choice fell on Giorgi Khachidze, Shako Shanshiashvili, and Teo Tseradze from our team in Tbilisi.
All three hold different positions, yet equally important for our success! Giorgi is a Scrum Master, Shako is a .Net Developer, and Teo is a Product Manager. We asked them our usual get-to-know- question and we must say – our teammates are impressive! Find out why ⬇️
First things first – let’s spill some beans! Tell us a bit about yourself 🙂
Giorgi: Hello, I’m Giorgi Khachidze. I joined Singular as a Scrum Master in May 2022.
Shako: Hello, I’m Shako. I’m solution-oriented, and person-centered, working in backend development with additional and past experience in RPA and QA. Joined Singular in June.
Teo: My name is Teo Tseradze. I have 14 years of experience in the private sector mainly in IT and Product Management. I also have a Bachelor’s degree in Informatics, Professional Project Manager (PMP). I am passionate about my work. Because I love what I do, I have a steady source of motivation that drives me to do my best.
We’re also curious to know what made you choose your profession?
Giorgi: I have 8+ years of experience in software development, and I’ve been working on various positions like Manual Tester, Business Analyst, and Project Manager. Several years ago, I moved from Project Management to “Scrum Mastering”. The role of a Scrum Master gives me more opportunities to help teams and make the organization more effective. At the same time, I help them make their daily life more comfortable.
Shako: To begin with, I want to say that computers, a little bit of programming, and a lot of gaming were my passion in my childhood for a long period of time. When I was a kid I used to play one of the most popular games’ multiplayer and whenever I came across a bug I was wondering: “Don’t they need somebody who can find bugs in their systems and report it to the dev team?!” – and my first job in Development was a QA engineer 🙂 When I did automation, I was always thinking of becoming a developer. I like when I think of the logic of some applications, how the “engine” behaves, etc. That’s the reason why I became a developer.
Teo: Product management is crucial to the success of a company, Product manager has a big influence over every step of a product’s journey together with the product team, From idea inception up until delivery and beyond. We are living in the “golden age of product management” and it’s easy to see why. Tech products and services are more popular than ever.
For the last few decades, new products and technologies have changed our daily lives. I’ve always been curious and attached to this field and always wanted to work in a position that would give me the possibility to make my portion of contribution and significant impact in this direction. From the start, I believed that this profession would allow me to improve my skills and maximize my potential both personally and professionally.
So, how did your journey with Singular begin?
Giorgi: I knew a lot good about Singular, so when I found the vacancy for the “Scrum Master” position, I applied without any hesitation.
Shako: I have been working in different industries during my whole career as a backend developer, iGaming, auto, e-commerce, etc… But the most interesting one occurred to be the iGaming one. After spending almost a couple of years in e-commerce, I decided to return back to the iGaming industry. Singular is one of the biggest providers of the iGaming platform not only in Georgia but in the region as well. The company is employee-friendly and personnel as well.
Teo: Singular always had a pretty nice reputation in Georgia, as an industry leader and place that creates the best products with one of the best workplace cultures around its employees. Besides I’ve always been interested to try my luck in this field so when I heard about possible opportunities from Singular I decided that this was the place that would give me the opportunity to work on the products of my interest and to become a member of a big family with great corporate values.
What do you like the most about working at Singular?
Giorgi: The first thing that speaks about the company is the culture and the people who work there. I rate Singular 10/10 in this. Also, I strongly appreciate how Singular cares about its employees.
Shako: People working at Singular are the thing I like the most within the company. Team members are always ready to support each other. They all accept each others’ opinions about different subjects and respect each other.
Teo: I thoroughly enjoyed working at Singular with my coworkers. It is a very collaborative atmosphere, where every day brings us a new challenge and new opportunities for continual learning. The trust that I have received from my colleagues and supervisor, their willingness to allow me to do the job I was hired to do, the opportunity to be creative and do things outside of the box, and being in a place that allows a healthy and positive work environment lead to higher my job satisfaction, increase productivity and motivation to achieve our common goals.
What’s the productivity hack that helps you stay top-notch?
Giorgi: To create value. I’m motivated when my work can have a positive impact on the product I’m working on and on the people I’m working with.
Shako: Scheduling the whole day is the key to success. When I do something and I know my schedule in advance, what to do next, how long should I do that, what comes next, etc… I’m more productive.
Teo: I always try to allow myself to sit, think, and plan in a calm way. There are often times when we are stressed out about getting more done, so it can be difficult to slow down and plan accordingly. However, careful planning and insight can save hours or even days of wasted effort. Also, It is crucial that you focus on the right measures of success. Focus on the specific results you intend to achieve with any given activity. As I try to make measurable outcomes for indicators of productivity, I try to create actionable goals around which the entire team can rally.
Overall, describe how you feel working at Singular by using just one word.
Teo: Connected – A place where every employee feels accepted, valued, and has a sense of belonging.
And last, but not least. We know what you’re doing during the day, but what’s your superpower by night? Any hobbies you want to share with us?
Giorgi: Play different games with my 2-year-old daughter. 🙂
Shako: My favorite hobby is playing an electric guitar. I like metal music and playing along with my favorite metal bands is a huge passion of mine. Subscribe to my channel.
Teo: I usually spend my leisure time with my daughter. Spending as much time as I can together with her is a great way to stay connected with her, and to fill her with energy and emotions. We have fun activities at home, like painting, and craft work and we love walking in nature as well. I love traveling because I love discovering new cities and places around the world. Travelling gives me a good opportunity to learn a lot about the history of the country I visit, to see cultural and historical places, to meet people of different nationalities, and to learn a lot about their traditions, customs, and culture. In other words. I can expand my worldview and my mind.
